About the project

PelletMasterLV is an independent service that tracks heating pellet prices from sellers and manufacturers in Latvia. We don't sell pellets ourselves — our goal is to let buyers quickly compare prices across sellers and see how prices change over time, instead of checking each seller's website by hand.

Why this matters

Pellet heating is one of the main ways private homes in Latvia are heated, and pellet prices can shift noticeably over the heating season — rising with winter demand and dropping in summer, when sellers often offer better terms for stocking up in advance. Tracking price history helps you pick a good time to buy and see how a given seller's price compares to the market as a whole.

How we collect prices

Prices are collected automatically, several times a day, from publicly available sources — seller and manufacturer pages that list a current pellet price. We don't request or use any private or internal seller data, and we don't republish descriptions or images from their sites — only the numeric price and the date it was recorded. See Contact & Privacy for more on how we handle data.

What the table and chart figures mean

  • Price VAT 0% / Price VAT 12% — prices on the chart and table are shown excl. VAT, as sellers themselves list them for businesses; next to it we also show the price incl. 12% VAT, which is what private buyers actually pay.
  • Average / minimum / maximum price — computed across all tracked sellers for the selected day.
  • Average price (cheaper half of the market) — the average across only the cheaper half of sellers, useful for spotting overpriced offers.
  • 24h / 7d / 30d — the price change for a specific item at a specific seller over that period.
  • "Out of stock" badge — the price hasn't been confirmed for over 8 hours, which almost always means the seller is out of stock; check with the seller directly for current availability and price.

How to get notified about price changes

The fastest way is to join our Telegram group @PelletMasterLV, which gets an automatic alert for any price change. Email alerts for price increases and/or drops, plus a weekly summary every Friday, are also available — to subscribe, write to us via the contact address on the Contact & Privacy page.

For sellers and manufacturers

If you sell or manufacture heating pellets in Latvia and would like your prices tracked on PelletMasterLV too, get in touch — it's free.

Data accuracy

We try to keep the data current, but we don't guarantee it's fully accurate: the actual price, availability, and purchase terms at a seller may differ from what's shown here. Confirm the exact price and availability directly with the seller. If you spot an error, let us know — see Contact & Privacy.
